Your First Massage at Fluid Energies: What to Know Before You Walk In
A first visit goes best when you know the small things ahead of time, from the intake form to the cancellation policy.

The hardest part of a first massage is often the not knowing. Where do I go? What do I wear? What if I'm late? What if I can't make it? This guide answers those questions for Fluid Energies Inc. at 777 W 27th Street in Yuma, so the only thing left to think about is how good it's going to feel.
Booking your appointment
You can book by phone at (928) 276-4605, or leave your name and number on the contact page and the front desk will call you back. When you book, tell us what you're hoping for. It could be general relaxation, a sore shoulder, a couples visit or something else. That helps us point you toward the right treatment and the right length.
This is also the moment to mention any health concerns. Some treatments may not suit certain health issues, so if you have a medical condition, an injury, or you're pregnant, say so when you book. If you aren't sure whether a massage is a good idea for you, check with your doctor first. A quick conversation now saves a lot of guessing later.
Arrive 15 minutes early, and turn your phone off
Plan to arrive 15 minutes before your appointment. That time is for the intake form, and it's your chance to tell us about your health, what's bringing you in, and anything you'd like your therapist to know.
Don't treat the form as a chore. The more honest and specific you are, the better your therapist can plan your session. Write down the sore spots, past injuries and anything that has made massage uncomfortable before.
Our reception area has a couple of leather chairs, so settle in and take a breath.
We ask that you turn off your cellphone when you come in. It's a small request, and it makes a bigger difference than you'd think. An hour without notifications is part of what you're paying for, and a ringing phone in a quiet treatment room affects everyone nearby.
In the room
In most massage rooms, you undress to your own comfort level and lie on the table under a sheet or blanket, and only the area being worked is uncovered. Your therapist will give you privacy to get settled. If you're not sure what to do, ask. There's no wrong way to be new at this.
Once you're on the table, the most useful thing you can do is speak up. Too much pressure, too little pressure, a room that's too cool or too warm: say so. Your therapist wants to know. A Google reviewer, Tory C, described her therapist this way: "She was so sweet and really listened to me." Listening goes both ways, and it works best when you tell us what you need.
The cancellation policy, plus a few house rules
Things come up. Here's how our cancellation policy works so nothing surprises you:
- Cancel with at least 24 hours notice and there is no charge
- Cancel with less than 24 hours notice and you're charged 50% of the appointment
- If you don't show up, you're charged 100%
The easiest way to stay on the right side of this is to call as soon as you know your plans have changed. We'd rather hear from you early than not at all.
We're not responsible for lost items, so leave valuables at home or locked in your car. Wear something easy to take on and off, and skip heavy jewelry. If you have a favorite way of doing things, such as quiet or a particular kind of oil for aromatherapy, tell your therapist.
Our hours differ by day. Tuesday and Thursday run into the evening, Sunday is closed, and the other days are shorter, so call to confirm what's open for the day you want.
Who you'll meet
Fluid Energies is a small, locally owned business. Our team includes seven Arizona Board licensed massage therapists, one licensed aesthetician and three licensed cosmetologists. We started in a one room rental space and bought our current building in 2020. Our therapists take classes at least once a year, because education matters to us.
Reviewers mention the staff a lot. Paulina Razo, who has been coming for over a year, wrote: "Everyone is professional and knowledgeable. The front desk is very responsive." That's the kind of welcome we aim for with every new client.
After your massage
Take a minute before you rush out. Stand up slowly, drink some water, and give yourself a gentle rest of the day if you can. Some people feel a little sore after firmer work, much like after a good workout. If something feels off, or you have questions about your health afterward, talk to your doctor.
When you're ready to book, give us a call at (928) 276-4605, or see the contact page on this site for our address, hours and a callback form. We welcome all new clients, and we look forward to meeting you.
